MADAR Trading SBU is responsible for sourcing commodities for the industrial subsidiaries and selling their products. The company manages a portfolio of assets, enabling it to source, supply, transport, store, blend and convert physical commodities. These capabilities allow MADAR Trading to provide essential asset optimisation services, risk management and wholesale market access to MADAR Holding and its third-party customers, helping them to realise the value inherent in their asset portfolios.

MADAR Trading is active in the agri-business, agriculture, chemical products and polymers, non-woven materials, textile, printing & packaging markets. MADAR Trading aims to be active in the wholesale tradingon major markets.

Key activities shall be conducted a 24/7 basis across multiple markets.

MADAR Trading operates an in-house entity to be set up as a 100% subsidiary.

Desired profile

Candidates must demonstrate strong commercial abilities, analytical and technical skills to take instant decisions in a dynamic trading environment.

In addition to trading, you will work on developing our models and improving our trading strategies through different professional tools and software.

You will also collaborate with analysts to continuously enhance models and remain at the forefront of market developments.

Experience required

Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Commodities trading environment (for example trading, asset optimisation, risk management or portfolio analysis);or,
  • Closely related professional environment.

Technical requirements

  • A degree of Economics, Finance or Engineering.

  • Highly motivated, disciplined, decisive and capable of working under pressure.

  • Strong attention to details, excellent communication skills and be a team-oriented mindset.

  • Proficiency in using various commodities tools and software, as well as IT skills.

  • Knowledge of the commodity market is highly appreciated.

Hours of Work

The role requires flexibility in work hours and days due to market requirements.
